I'm sorry I missed your talk but your slides were very informative. I hope everyone was listening because your message is important. We need to be much more proactive here in Canada.

Hello Raul,

Thanks once again for speaking at our event. We have heard nothing but very positive responses and a few people have emailed me and said that they were quite moved by your speech as well as our other guest speech. A few have also said that they'll even try and quite drinking coffee!

Thanks again and I wish you the best of luck in your future pursuits.

Thank you for publishing this, Raul. I've been concerned about water issues for some time, but have not done much about it. It took ages for the "carbon footprint" concept to make a real impact on me, until I read Ronald Wright's "A Short History of Progress." That was the big "Aha!" for me. We need something like that, perhaps, to get people thinking in terms of water conservation as well. For me, taking the time to read your "crib notes" was a beginning. I especially liked your first slide -- showing people in "Sub-Saharan Africa" collecting water; such an incredible contrast to our own situation here in rain-soaked Vancouver! It really is thought-provoking ... keep up the great work!

Cheers, David Morton
